Cetácea, Ecos del Mar

Muestra Itinerante

Esta exhibición surge a partir del éxito de la muestra Ballenas, Voces del Mar, realizada por Fundación MERI y el Centro Cultural La Moneda (CCPLM). Con el propósito de acercar el fascinante mundo de los cetáceos a personas de todo Chile, esta muestra itinerante busca generar conciencia sobre sus características, amenazas y otros aspectos clave de su conservación.

La exhibición se inauguró en 2019 en Cecrea Castro, Chiloé, donde recibió a numerosos estudiantes y familias interesados en aprender más sobre estos impresionantes seres marinos. Actualmente, se encuentra en el Museo de Historia Natural de Valparaíso, donde permanecerá hasta febrero de 2020.

Estructura de la muestra:

• Módulos desplegables, que al extenderse alcanzan los 5 metros y presentan diversas infografías en cada una de sus caras.

• Monitores con material audiovisual, que abordan distintos temas relacionados con los cetáceos.

• Stickers de gran formato, que ilustran la inmensidad de estas especies.

• Elementos anatómicos de cetáceos, que permiten una aproximación más detallada a su morfología.

Cetácea, Echoes of the Sea

Traveling Exhibition

This exhibition was born from the success of Whales, Voices of the Sea, an initiative by Fundación MERI and the Centro Cultural La Moneda (CCPLM). With the aim of bringing the fascinating world of cetaceans to people across Chile, this traveling exhibition seeks to raise awareness about their characteristics, the threats they face, and other key aspects of their conservation.

The exhibition was inaugurated in 2019 at Cecrea Castro, Chiloé, where it welcomed numerous students and families eager to learn more about these magnificent marine creatures. It is currently on display at the Natural History Museum of Valparaíso, where it will remain until February 2020.

Exhibition Features:

• Expandable modules, which extend up to 5 meters and showcase various infographics on each side.

• Monitors displaying audiovisual content, covering different topics related to cetaceans.

• Large-scale stickers, offering a visual reference for the vast size of these creatures.

• Anatomical elements of cetaceans, providing a closer look at their morphology.
