Design of a shellfish measuring ruler, an educational resource for the Center for the Study and Conservation of Natural Heritage (CECPAN), developed in the Quinchao Archipelago, Chiloé. This ruler is a pedagogical tool that teaches the legal minimum sizes of 12 marine species found in this territory, connecting scientific knowledge with fishing practices and local knowledge. It has already been implemented in rural schools. The project’s goal is to encourage responsible harvesting and empower coastal communities through practical environmental education, promoting the conservation of marine biodiversity from childhood.
In addition to the ruler, a poster was designed featuring other marine species of ancestral use found in the Quinchao Archipelago.
